Lisa Harbour is a Biographical Counsellor and Transpersonal Arts Counsellor
I bring these complementary approaches together in my work, as they naturally support and enrich the counselling process. I also offer each approach on its own, depending on what feels most helpful and appropriate for you.

Whether we work with one method or combine both, my intention is to support you to:
• Work through a range of challenges and difficulties impacting your health and wellbeing
• Make sense of your experiences by exploring your life’s story
• Feel more able to take charge of your life
• Connect with your inner resources for healing and growth
• Begin to see your life as a meaningful journey, not just a set of problems to solve
• Use creativity as a way to deepen your self-understanding
• Feel supported in a warm, relaxed space where your process can gently unfold
• Create the time and space to gently explore deeper questions such as Who am I? Why am I here? What matters most to me?
• Develop greater self-compassion, building a kinder and more accepting relationship with yourself and others
• Move beyond limiting beliefs, opening up to new possibilities and creating space for change

Biographical Counselling
You may be considering counselling because you’re facing a particular challenge, feeling stuck, or seeking support to create meaningful change in your life. Biographical Counselling is based on the understanding that your life story can offer valuable insight into who you are and where you are going.
This approach invites you to explore your life as a meaningful and connected journey. Through deepening your understanding of your own story, you can gain clarity, reconnect with your sense of self, and discover renewed strength, purpose, and direction.

Transpersonal Arts Counselling
Engaging with art in a therapeutic way is a subtle yet powerful process that supports emotional wellbeing, encourages self-exploration, and promotes healing. Through creative expression, art-making offers a safe and supportive space to explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences, particularly those that may be difficult to put into words.
Building on this, Transpersonal Arts Counselling draws on the transformative potential of the creative process. By working with the unique qualities of different artistic forms, this approach can deepen self-awareness and create new possibilities for insight and personal growth.
